    Keep Sharing the Information

“A woman’s health is her capital”

                                    Harriet Beecher Stowe

That is my motivation to continue to write weekly.  If we remain healthy to the best of our ability we have the potential to do so much. Thank you for being part of the family. Thank you for sharing the information to your network of friends. Thank you for being you.

Every year, I go to the very beginning – the first blog written four years ago and reflect on the purpose – disseminating information that will be helpful for anyone who needs the tools for healthy living. I continue to receive positive feedback – together we are making a difference.

As I have done every six months, below are the most read blogs over the past 6 months:

    # 5 – Have you heard of WPSI? WPSI believes that the health and well-being of every woman is important. Learn what is covered by your insurance without out-of-pocket costs.

    # 4 – What is the best diet plan? The best diet plan is the one you can maintain for a lifetime. Check out the Dr. Ngozi’s plan.

    # 3 – Breaking the habit – Try something different if what you have been doing has not been working.

    # 2 – Be still and reflect – If you are wondering how you can make a difference in the world – maybe reading this blog will help.

    # 1 – I am wearing blue this Friday because I love him – Learn what you can do to help the men in your life take charge of their health.

I am truly honored that you have allowed me to be part of your life weekly. If there is a particularly topic you want addressed, please send me an email – drngozi@ngoziosuagwumd.com. I have also made it easier to tell your friends about the website – keepingmysistershealthy.com (keeping my sisters healthy without spaces.com)

With her trademark wit and straightforward communication, Dr. Osuagwu continues to dole out valuable medical advice using the letter form and addressing women’s health conditions and issues in a method that was praised for its innovative approach in her earlier award-winning book, Letters to My Sisters: Plain Truths and Straightforward Advice from a Gynecologist. In this book, each letter is paired with reference sources and statistics about the condition that is the subject of the letter.

The book discusses common gynecological and women’s health issues in a series of witty and entertaining letters. These letters, all educational, offer suggestions on what approaches to take in tackling the medical problems that typically bring women to an ob/gynecologist. The letters are spiced with art, a poem and quotes. Although its emphasis is on gynecology and women’s health, it touches on some other medical issues that make women visit their doctors.

The second half of the book briefly discusses the most common gynecological conditions and also provides an overview of sexually transmitted infections. A list of annotated websites dealing with the different topics in the book is provided for the reader who wants to pursue each subject in depth.
