    I Received Everything -Revisited

    I Received Everything -Revisited

One of my favorite poems for this season is titled “I Received Everything”. I chanced upon it two years ago and shared it with you at that time, but I thought it would be great to share it again.

    I RECEIVED EVERYTHING

I asked God for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked God for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve.

I asked for prosperity and God gave me brawn and brains to work.

I asked for courage and God gave be dangers to overcome.

I asked for patience and God placed me in situations where I was forced to wait.

I asked for love and God gave me troubled people to help.

I asked for favors and God gave me opportunities.

I asked for everything so I could enjoy life.

Instead, He gave me life so I could enjoy everything.

I received nothing I wanted, I received everything I needed.

Please spend time enjoying your family, friends and colleagues, but do not forget to have some ‘me’ time. May God bless you and your loved ones. I wish you and your family peace, love, happiness and good health for the rest of the year and the best for 2020.

Merry Christmas. Happy Kwanzaa. Happy Hanukkah.

The book discusses common gynecological and women’s health issues in a series of witty and entertaining letters. These letters, all educational, offer suggestions on what approaches to take in tackling the medical problems that typically bring women to an ob/gynecologist. The letters are spiced with art, a poem and quotes. Although its emphasis is on gynecology and women’s health, it touches on some other medical issues that make women visit their doctors.

The second half of the book briefly discusses the most common gynecological conditions and also provides an overview of sexually transmitted infections. A list of annotated websites dealing with the different topics in the book is provided for the reader who wants to pursue each subject in depth.
