DEFINING SUCCESS 2018
by Ngozi Osuagwu, MD | December 31st, 2017

My sister, who is a life coach, gave me a one hour complimentary session titled “Strategy for My 2018 Success” as Christmas gift. During the session she asked me the following question:
When December 31, 2018 rolls around, how would you define success for the year?
I gave her a list and she made me narrow it down to the top five. I also needed to provide an action plan. On top of my list was making sure that I stay true to the purpose and mission of this website and weekly blogs. The purpose is to disseminate information that would be helpful to those who need the tools for healthy living. The primary mission is to reduce health disparity through education and empowering women.
When I reflect on 2017 and review the most read blogs over the past 6 months, I can say that 2017 was successful.
SUFFER NO MORE IN SILENCE – SEXUAL HEALTH – The American Sexual Health Association defines sexual health as the ability to embrace and enjoy sexuality through our lives. We should not be embarrassed to talk about any issue regarding our sexual health with our health care provider.
OCTOBER IS NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH – Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women after skin cancer. Learn ways to decrease your risk.
HODGEPODGE – DO YOU KNOW? – Facts about cinnamon, calcium and safe sleep practices for infants are discussed.
CAN WE COME TO AN AGREEMENT? – The world would be a better place if we can all keep the four agreements.
SUGGESTIONS FOR LIVING – Here are some health advice for the soul.
I am extremely grateful for your continued support. I wish you and your family peace, love, happiness and good health for this New Year. I hope you will find ‘alone time’ to answer the question:
